JT-16 VST Softsynth Leaked

May 20, 2026
Behringer has leaked the JT-16 softsynth, a VST plugin recreation of the hallowed Roland Jupiter-8. Posted on a new product page on their website, the product page (including photos) was removed shortly after. However, we have saved the leaked images here.

The product page describes it as a “vintage virtual synthesizer modeled on the legendary early 1980’s classic”, further describing the synth with a
“virtual analog engine with meticulous recreation of all the original oscillators, filters, and envelopes. Authentic arpeggiator operation and direct front panel access to all the original factory patches and presets.”

We'll keep you up to date when we hear more about the JT-16 softsynth (note: a Behringer rep has confirmed with us that the JT-16 hardware synth is not cancelled).
